Now that West Easton has received sufficient funds through multiple grants, the long awaited removal of the trestle over Iron Street and the trestle over Spring Street can get started.
In a previous agreement regarding the trestle over Iron Street, Wilson Borough provided West Easton permission to remove the portion of that trestle which is on their property.
Council will be notifying Borough Engineers to begin planning for the dismantling and disposal of the trestles.
It is hoped the project can get started before Fall of this year, and be completed in 2024.
